Tutorials – tips, tricks and videos
Tutorials – tips, tricks and videos. On this page you’ll find beginners’ tips (coming soon), videos of Photoshop tutorials, overviews of photoshoots and editing sessions using Lightroom and Photoshop. I will add more when I can find the time! I hope you find these useful.
If there is a specific Photoshop issue you regularly struggle with, please get in touch and I’ll try and break it down for you so it makes sense!
You will find there are usually several different ways to achieve the same result in Photoshop, and which one you use depends on your preference. No way is the right way or the wrong way. Some may be quicker than others. The important thing is to find what works for you, what is easy to remember and replicable.
What matters always is the final result. If you’re happy with it, it doesn’t matter how you got there. Nor does it matter if no one else likes it, to be frank. As long as it makes you happy.
If you book onto a course with me, you will hear me say (quite often) that there are key ways to improve a photograph, in terms of making it a more potent or compelling image in the eyes of the viewer. But ultimately, aim to please yourself.
